Together, At Last – Gangwish Wedding – 12.08.12

While Meggan and Steve were finalizing their wedding details from Nebraska, they decided they wanted to hire a Day-Of Coordinator for their Estes Park ‘destination’ wedding in December. They got our information from one of our past brides and from the first phone call, we had an immediate connection.

With an interior design background, Meggan had come up with the perfect decor for her Colorado winter wedding and I was looking forward to helping make it all come together. The church decorations were simple with just little accents and beautiful flowers, as the large window behind the altar with a breathtaking view was the focal point of the room. We decorated Twin Owls Steakhouse (for the reception) with tree wedges, candles, antlers, greenery and pine cones. It was just the right touch of winter and gave the venue even more of an elegant, cozy feeling.

The couple decided to do a first-look and as Meggan and Steve saw each other for the first time on their wedding day, light snow began to fall, just enough to give that romantic feel we all adore! Then, as guests were entering the church for the ceremony, a small group of elk decided to rest nearby, giving the out-of-town guests a great view and a real Colorado welcome.

The ceremony was beautiful and intimate and as the guests all joined together singing Joy to the World, the room was full of smiles. Following the ceremony, guests made their way to the reception and continued the night. Accompanying the incredible food, touching toasts and entertaining music by Narrow Gauge, the Cover (bride’s side) family performed their traditional dance to help get the party started. And oh did it get started – with the help of the band, the dance floor was packed all night!

The guests were so fun (‘ornery’), the couple’s families were so great and the bride and groom were so excited! They had been in a long distance relationship for quite some time and were thrilled to begin their life together.

Congratulations Steve & Meggan on your happily ever after!

The look on her Dad’s face when he sees his daughter on her wedding day – priceless!

Too cute!

Guests got their table ‘assignment’ by finding their name written on a river rock.
Their table name was written on the other side.

This was the dance floor…all night!

Love, ah love
