Love, Laughter & Lavender – Burg Wedding – 100315

AED Couple: Christina & Josh Burg
Married On: October 3rd, 2015
Ceremony and Reception Venue: Boettcher Mansion (Golden, CO)

What We’ll Never Forget:
>Josh & Christina love cats! They even debated having their furry friends in their wedding. But, ultimately decided that a cat cake topper would be enough, along with a few cat quotes throughout their decor and collateral.
>Each guest table had an owl figurine, which made the overall wedding decorations completely unique.
>We used tight bunches of lavender hanging upside down on the ceremony aisle chairs, on the fireplace mantel and in the centerpieces. It was so pretty and smelled amazing!
>Since the wedding was in October, we added just a touch of fall using pumpkins and gourds throughout the decor.
>Guests found their name cards among bunches of greenery and baby’s breath placed in drawers and baskets.

>The couple’s big, white, fluffy dog was the ring bearer – perfect for this museum wedding.
>As guests arrived, they were asked to fill out a Mad Libs, which served as the couple’s guest book.
>The groom’s tuxedo didn’t come with a pocket square so we quickly made one out of a cloth napkin.
>Rain ALMOST ruined the outdoor ceremony. We delayed for about 10 minutes, then the sky cleared up and the weather was perfect for the Sky Terrace ceremony.
>The flowers, by Bloom by Anuschka, were absolutely breathtaking – so unique!!
>Guests ate dinner right in the middle of the Wildlife Exhibits, among the Australia and South Pacific scenes.
>Jamie & Paul had cardboard cut outs of themselves for guests to use at the photo booth. Those cut outs made their way all around the reception that evening.
