Love & Romance – Stewart Wedding – 08.19.12

Not only was the venue beautiful, the bride absolutely stunning and the weather perfect, but the obvious romance and love shared between this couple made the day a real dream come true.

Katie and Ian’s unique style and decorations accented the already gorgeous Crooked Willow Farms. The couple brought in their own furniture to ‘sprinkle’ around the cocktail and reception area, complete with a reserved rocking chair for Katie’s grandmother right by the dance floor. They invited their guests to walk through a door adorned with flowers and greenery to find their seat at the ceremony and named the dinner tables after different coffee types because after all, they did meet at a coffee shop. At the end of the night, the walkway was lined with lanterns to help light the way for the guests to see Katie and Ian off, as they ran through a shower of bird seed to the decorated vintage truck they ‘escaped’ in.

The couple’s wedding day could be described as magical with fresh flowers blossoming, the sky a perfect shade of blue, smiles shining brightly on everyone’s face and a couple who wasn’t shy about their love for each other.

Congratulations Ian and Katie on your happily ever after!

And Krista, you did it again – beautiful pictures! A huge thanks to Artessa Photography for sharing these memories. Click here to check out more pictures from this wedding.

Picture Perfect

Katie’s Dad drove her in this truck to the aisle at the beginning of the ceremony, Then, Katie & Ian used it as their getaway vehicle at the end of the evening. So fun!

Table names were held in place with wine corks tied together.

Words from our client :I enjoyed having a day-of coordinator do all the running around for me. She made sure EVERYTHING and eveyone was where they needed to be. I don’t know how brides would ever consider not having a coordinator. Sarah is organized, kind and patient. I felt like she cared about every detail I wanted to obtain. I appreciate that she helped me trouble-shoot and find solutions for our wedding day. Sarah and her team are very professional and hard working. Thank you Ansley Event Design! ” ~Katie (Bride)

You were worth your weight in gold. Jeff and I were able to enjoy and relax because you were on top of every detail. Thank you for being so dependable. It was truly a delight to work with you. I will recommend you with the utmost confidence.” ~Julie (Mother-of-the-Bride)

Bringing Out the Best

Why do an engagement shoot?

>Well, you just got engaged, which must mean you are absolutely smitten with your fiance! So wanting to capture pictures of the two of you totally in love seems like a good idea.

>You’ll want to show off this love you share with other people, so you should probably have some high-quality pictures to do this.

>And, it is the perfect opportunity to capture your personality…

…how you two interact with each other…

…and who you truly are – all with a picture.

All great reasons! But, use your engagement shoot wisely. These are pictures that you will have forever.

And rather than just holding hands and looking into the camera, this is your chance to really have fun with each other.

To show that camera just who the two of you are!

To take pictures doing what you love to do, together.

Where you love to do them.

And, when you do show your pictures off, your friends and family will love to see the two of you being you.

An engagement shoot is also a great time to get to know your wedding photographer better, and to give him or her the chance to get to know you.

Most photographers include an engagement shoot in their packages for this very reason. Once they’ve been able to shoot you and your fiance in a non-traditional environment, they’ll get a better idea of the exact shots they’ll want to take during your wedding.

So, in your engagement pictures, show the world who you are.

Let loose.

And, take full advantage of your engagement shoot.
